Eric Morgeson<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

 Eric Morgeson <\/strong>began in music as a piano player and evolved into a recording engineer, producer, songwriter and studio owner. He toured as the keyboardist with Dennis Coffey\u2019s band in support of his hit record \u201cScorpio,\u201d and played keyboards in the studio throughout the \u201870s on records produced by Dennis and Mike Theodore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1978, continuing in the tradition of independent Detroit studios, United Sound and Motown Records, Eric and his wife, Marilyn opened Studio A Recording, Inc. Over the next 40 years Studio A worked with many Detroit artists including:  Aretha Franklin, Earl Klugh, The Clark Sisters, Fred Hammond, Commissioned, Deitrick Haddon, KMC Cru, J. Dilla and KEM. The success of these artists attracted the attention of other performers and producers including  Common, Dwele, Rickie Dillard, James Fortune, Tracy Edmonds, Jeff Bass, Bob Seger, Eminem, Ready for the World, Tim Bowman, Dennis Coffey, Mike Theodore, Ana Tijoux, Paul Jackson Jr. and Ron Isley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Studio A these artists have created 38 gold albums, 18 Grammy nominations and the following 3 Grammy winners:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
